Terms and Conditions for participating in the IQOS Rewards program

1. Application of Terms/Eligibility

1.1 These terms and conditions (‘Terms’) are applicable to and govern your participation in the IQOS Rewards program (‘IQOS Rewards’). You should read these Terms carefully as they affect your legal rights and govern your relationship with Philip Morris (New Zealand) Limited, 46 Sale Street, Auckland Central, Auckland 1010 (‘Philip Morris’, ‘we’, ‘our’, ‘us’).

1.2 You are only eligible for an IQOS Rewards membership (‘Membership’) if you are an adult smoker or vaper or an IQOS product user aged 18 years and over and you are registered in our database.

1.3 By registering and signing up for IQOS Rewards, you agree to be bound by these Terms which govern your IQOS Reward Membership.

1.4 If you do not agree (or cannot comply) with the Terms, then you are not permitted to participate in IQOS Rewards.

1.5 No modification of these Terms is permitted by you, unless Philip Morris expressly agrees in writing.

1.6 Your participation in IQOS Rewards is at our discretion and we may terminate your right to participate in IQOS Rewards for any reason, including if you breach any of these Terms.

1.7 Philip Morris also reserves the right to amend these Terms and IQOS Rewards without notice at any time. If you do not agree to any such amendments you may terminate your Membership.

2. Registration

2.1 To complete the registration process to become an IQOS Rewards Member, you must provide all required mandatory information in an accurate and complete manner and keep this information up-to-date. If you do not complete the mandatory fields in the application form (such as, for example, age, email address and/or phone number) your application will not proceed. If you provide inaccurate or incomplete information, we reserve the right to terminate your Membership of IQOS Rewards without notice.

2.2 Your Membership entitles you to the rewards and benefits described in paragraphs 4 and 5 (‘Member’s Rewards and Benefits’).

2.3 Following the registration process for IQOS Rewards you will be informed whether your registration is successful. Membership of IQOS Rewards and the Member’s Rewards and Benefits arising from your Membership, as outlined in these Terms, are personal to you and may not be transferred to any third party.

2.4 Your use of your Membership as outlined in these Terms, is linked to New Zealand and is not available for use outside of New Zealand.

3. Email Communications

3.1 You acknowledge and agree that by registering for IQOS Rewards and providing us with your email address we may send you commercial electronic messages including but not limited to communications about our products and special offers.

3.2 You may unsubscribe to our communications at any time by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ or ‘Opt Out’ hyperlink in our emails or texts. You can also update your email communication preferences on the ‘My Profile’ page of our website, after signing into your online IQOS account.

4. Loyalty Card

4.1 Upon your successful registration to become an IQOS Rewards Member at IQvape Stores, you will be issued with an IQOS Rewards Card. If you register via our IQOS website, you will receive an email to notify your successful registration.

4.2 IQOS Rewards Cards remain the property of Philip Morris.

4.3 If your Membership is terminated, you may no longer use your IQOS Rewards Card and you must either destroy it or return it to us if requested.

4.4 If your IQOS Rewards Card is lost or stolen you must promptly notify us.

5. IQOS Dollars and Rewards

5.1 As an IQOS Rewards Member, you will be able to earn and redeem IQOS Dollars on your Membership Account. You can exchange these accrued IQOS Dollars to redeem rewards and enjoy a range of IQOS Rewards Member benefits (‘Member Benefits’).

5.2 As an IQOS Rewards Member, you may earn IQOS Dollars by purchasing selected IQOS products or participate in activities (i.e sign up, survey completion etc). This mechanism for earning IQOS Dollars may vary or be changed at the sole discretion of Philip Morris. You cannot earn or redeem points on tobacco products.

5.3 In order to earn and redeem IQOS Dollars when purchasing from the IQOS website, you must register and login to your profile at the time of purchase.

5.4 In order to earn and redeem IQOS Dollars when purchasing at IQvape Stores, you must either quote your IQOS Rewards number or present your IQOS Rewards Card to the IQOS Retail Sales Experts at the time of purchase.

5.5 IQOS Dollars are valid for 12 months from the date they are earned. After a period of 12 months, your IQOS Dollars will expire and be removed from your Membership Account.

5.6 IQOS Dollars are not convertible into cash.

5.7 IQOS Dollars and Member’s Rewards and Benefits are not to be sold, assigned or transferred to any other person in exchange for cash or any other form of consideration except to the extent permitted within these Terms.

6. Philip Morris may change and update the Member’s Rewards and Benefits from time to time at our sole discretion.

You agree:

  • not to misuse the IQOS Rewards program and the Member’s Rewards and Benefits;
  • not to allow any other person to use your IQOS Rewards Card to try to earn IQOS Dollars on your Membership Account;
  • to keep your IQOS Rewards Card and Membership Account safe and secure;
  • to only hold one Membership at any one time;
  • to promptly notify us if you change your address or contact details; and
  • to comply with applicable law.

7. Term and Termination

7.1 The term of your Membership is from the date of acceptance of these Terms and valid until terminated.

7.2 You may terminate your Membership at any time with immediate effect by logging in to your profile or notifying our call center at 0800 810 433.

7.3 We may terminate your Membership at any time with immediate effect if you breach these Terms. We may also terminate your Membership for any reason upon 30 days’ notice.

7.4 If your Membership is terminated by either the IQOS Rewards Member or by us (other than due to death of the IQOS Rewards Member), any IQOS Dollars the IQOS Rewards Member has earned but not redeemed prior to termination will be forfeited with no compensation.

8. Privacy Notice

8.1 By applying for your Membership, you authorise Philip Morris to collect, store, use and disclose your personal information in accordance with our Consumer Privacy Notice, available at

9. Warranty/Limitation of Liability

9.1 Philip Morris shall not be liable to the maximum extent permitted under applicable law whether in tort (including for negligence or breach of statutory duty), contract, misrepresentation, restitution or otherwise for any direct losses, loss of profits, sales, revenues or savings, loss of business, depletion of goodwill and/or similar losses or loss or corruption of data or information, or pure economic loss, or for any special, indirect or consequential loss, costs, damages, charges or expenses however arising or otherwise resulting from your IQOS Rewards Membership or your use of the Member’s Rewards and Benefits. Philip Morris shall not be liable for any of the losses described in this paragraph 9.1 even if you have informed Philip Morris of the possibility of such losses.

9.2 Nothing in this paragraph 9 excludes any liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 To the fullest extent permitted by law, Philip Morris makes no warranties (express or implied), and makes no representations with respect to:

  • the suitability of the IQOS Rewards program or the Member’s Rewards and Benefits for you;
  • the ability (or inability) to redeem any of the Member’s Rewards or Benefits by you; or
  • your compliance with laws in the country in which you reside, including any laws that may relate to you earning IQOS Dollars or exchanging IQOS Dollars for Member’s Rewards and Benefits. You are responsible for ensuring your compliance with all relevant local laws in the country of your residence.

11. Miscellaneous

11.1 These Terms are subject to the laws of New Zealand. Any legal dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of New Zealand.
