What's Inside a TEREA Stick?

Before diving in, TEREA for IQOS ILUMA is only for 18+ smokers or vapers. What sets TEREA sticks apart is the technology it is designed for; induction heating.

Instead of flame, TEREA is heated. This is why it only works in IQOS ILUMA and why users of older bladed devices must not try TEREA with a blade-device. Within TEREA is a ‘heating element’, which is metal with stainless steel. This heating element reacts to the electromagnetic energy generated by the IQOS ILUMA’s induction heating system. This heats TEREA to no more than 350⁰ Celsius, hundreds of degrees lower than what a cigarette burns at.

The heating element and other innovations are why TEREA is optimally heated.

Next, we have the main part of the TEREA stick. This is a heat not burn product, which is carefully selected and blended. A heat not burn product is intended to be used in a way that doesn’t involve ignition or the combustion process.

The front seal is another important feature. This keeps the IQOS ILUMA holder clean after use, preventing any residue from being left behind. This seal also makes it easy to insert and remove a TEREA stick.

The air-flow chamber is designed to ensure that just the right amount of aerosol passes through the stick. This makes for an easy draw and again, to create an experience 18+ smokers recognize, but with a fraction of the risks associated with smoking.

The cooling plug is made of cellulose acetate. This cools down the aerosol temperature.

The protective wrap is a new addition to TEREA not seen previously. This paper wrap helps to keep the device and user clean after use.

Finally, there is the filter. This part of the TEREA stick serves as the mouthpiece, ensuring a comfortable vaping draw.
