After vaping, 18+ users should store vapes in a safe location. By storing a device and e-liquid correctly, you can help protect it from damage, prolong its longevity, and reduce the risk of losing or misplacing equipment.
How to Store a Vape
The correct way to store a vape depends on the instructions provided by the manufacturer - so do check the guidance provided and follow this as closely as possible. Different vapes have different requirements, and the following tips may not be suitable for specific devices. If you are unsure, check with the device manufacturer.
The precautions below may be helpful when storing your device:
- Keep the vape at room temperature - devices work best when protected from extreme temperatures.
- Store the vape upright to help prevent it from leaking.
How to Store E-Liquid
It is equally important to store e-liquid correctly. Correct e-liquid storage may help prevent damage and degradation.
- The best practice is to store e-liquid in a cool, dark and dry place that isn’t too cold or too warm.
- If you only intend to store e-liquid for a few weeks or months, a dark cupboard is a suitable storage space. You should store e-liquids at room temperature (around 20–22°C).
- The VG and PG (Vegetable Glycerine and Propylene Glycol, respectively) within e-liquids cool at different temperatures. Store e-liquids in a cool, dark place to avoid separation of ingredients.
- Above all, always follow manufacturer guidance on how to store e-liquid correctly.
